Where does that executive salary sit against UK pay?
Pick the role, enter the annual base salary. The tool places it against Office for National Statistics payroll data for UK full-time employees, and tells you which figures ONS does not publish rather than guessing them.
What the numbers are
- Annual gross pay for full-time employee jobs in the UK, from the ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE): a 1% sample of HMRC PAYE records, weighted to UK totals.
- Employees only. Directors paid through dividends or who are self-employed are not in it. It covers employees on adult rates who have been in the same job for more than a year, so it describes people established in a seat, not new-hire offers.
- Tax year ended 5 April 2025. It does not move with this year's pay rises, and it is gross annual pay as ONS defines it, not a market quote for equity, bonus targets or benefits. Compare like with like when you enter a figure.
- Gaps are real. ONS withholds a figure when its sampling error is above 20% or it could identify someone. A dash in the table means ONS did not publish it. We never fill or estimate a withheld figure.
- The percentile shown is a straight-line estimate between two published ONS points, so treat it as approximate.
